“The tentacles of state terrorism have reached the shores of Australia. While Australia slept to the danger and our Prime Minister played tennis, Rome, or at least the Adass Israel Synagogue was burning to the ground with some escaping for their lives,” said Norman and Barbara Miller, co founders of Indigenous Friends of Israel International.
“ASIO has uncovered the plot by Iran who are responsible for this attack on December 6, 2024, and the attack on Lewis’ Continental Kitchen in Sydney in October 2024. They may be responsible for more terror attacks against Jewish Australians but not all of them. Overseas crime gangs have been used by Iran to cover their tracks.
“We visited the Adass Israel synagogue recently and were touched to find, in a park over the road, a monument to Victorian Jewish soldiers who had fought and died for Australia in World War 1. We counted 360 of them and our Jewish friend said there were many more. It is tragic that, metres from where there is a memorial to Jewish blood shed for the freedom of Australia and western civilisation, we should witness such hatred, destruction, and dishonour. 
“Earlier, we visited the Melbourne Holocaust Museum where some school children were on tour and receiving a lecture from a Holocaust survivor. One slide juxtaposed the Aachen Synagogue destroyed in Nazi Germany during Kristallnacht in 1938 with the destruction of the Adass Israel Synagogue destroyed in Melbourne in 2024. The images were hauntingly similar.
“As Iran has exported its radical Islamic terrorism worldwide, to what extent has it infiltrated, funded, and fomented the pro-Palestinian marches we have seen on our streets every weekend since October 7? Posters of the Ayatollah were seen displayed prominently on the march over the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
“When will those chanting death threats on our streets with impunity, burning Australian flags, waving flags and images of leaders of proscribed terrorist organisations like Hamas, Hezbollah, ISIS etc be prevented from doing so, arrested on the spot and face severe consequences?
“The Australian government has finally acted by expelling the Iranian ambassador to Australia, closing our embassy in Iran, and moving to label the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organisation. It has been intimidating Iranian refugees in Australia for some years, terrorizing the Jewish community, and posing a deliberate threat to social cohesion in Australia.
“Israel PM Netanyahu warned our government that “the crocodile of militant Islam” would bite those who appease it by feeding it. Let’s hope that Australia stops feeding the crocodile by its continual criticism of Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East.”
